Full Council Meetings

The Full Council meets five times a year, always on the second Thursday of the month (except August). Meetings are normally held at The Seeds of Hope, Overgreen Drive, Kingshurst, B37 6EY, unless the Council chooses a different venue.

In years when elections take place, the Annual Meeting must be held on a Thursday within 14 days of the new Councillors starting their roles.

In all other years, the Annual Meeting is held on the second Thursday in May, unless the Council decides otherwise.

If no other time is set, Full Council meetings start at 6pm.

Standing Committee Meetings

Finance Committee meetings are held immediately before Full Council meetings on the dates set out in the meeting schedule below.

Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Parish Meeting is not a council meeting. It is a meeting of the parish electors and must be held between 1 March and 1 June. The next Annual Parish Meeting is provisionally scheduled for Friday 29th May 2026 at 6pm (to be confirmed) at The Seeds of Hope, Overgreen Drive.

Please inform the Clerk if you wish to attend.

Electors may contribute items for the agenda, and the meeting is typically used to highlight local activities and discuss current community issues.

The Annual Parish Meeting may be called by the Chairman of the Council, any two councillors, or any six electors. The Chairman, if present, will preside over the meeting.

It is standard practice to hold the Annual Parish Meeting and the Annual Parish Council Meeting at separate times to avoid confusion.

MEETING DATES 25/26

Councillors are encouraged to submit topics, motions at least one week prior to the meetings to the clerk or the chairman.
